A few things to get comfortable with before you set off.

01

Pick up & unlock

Follow the pickup and key-access instructions in your Turo trip. Confirm access with Tem before departure and keep a working physical key available.

02

Get comfortable

While parked, adjust your seat and mirrors, locate the driving controls, and set your destination. Ask Tem about anything unfamiliar before you drive.

03

Plan your charging

Use the car’s navigation to plan charging stops and follow its charge recommendations. A destination charger is included; check outlet compatibility before use.

04

Return ready

Return at the agreed location with the agreed charge level. If you purchased prepaid recharge, return with at least 30 miles of range. Follow your Turo trip’s return instructions.

Driver-assistance features require an attentive driver. Follow the vehicle’s instructions and owner’s manual.

Tesla owner’s manuals

Activating Full Self-Driving (Supervised)

FSD is driver assistance, not autonomous driving. Stay attentive, follow every attention prompt and be ready to take over immediately.

  1. While parked, open Controls → Self-Driving → Full Self-Driving (Supervised) and read the on-screen agreements. Older software may label the menu Autopilot. Ask Tem if the option is unavailable.
  2. Set your destination and check the car’s on-screen instructions. On these stalk-equipped Teslas, FSD can be engaged by pulling the drive stalk fully down once when enabled and available. Software and activation settings can differ—confirm the method in the vehicle’s owner’s manual before using it.
  3. Confirm the blue driving visualization indicates FSD is active. Keep watching the road and remain responsible for steering and speed.
  4. To disengage, press the brake pedal or take over steering. Review the vehicle’s manual and practice the controls with Tem before using the feature.
